Removing Acne Scars

Acne scars occur due to compulsive squeezing or picking of acne blemishes. The scarring gets worse the more you pick the blemishes. For the scarring to fade away it can take quite some time but the process can be speeded up by applying certain substances to the affected areas. These substances are available at all grocery stores and one can use them several times a day to eliminate or reduce acne scars.

Things you will require…

  • Egg whites
  • Oats
  • Lemon juice
  • Baking soda

Scrubbing your skin with scrub made from oats and baking soda will help to get rid of dead and scarred skin. Particles of baking soda will not cause harm to your skin as they are smooth while oats have nutrients such as Vitamin E for smoothing the skin. Take a small bowl and use it for mixing 2 tablespoons of baking soda with a quarter cup of oats that are raw. Pour in 1 teaspoon of water then stir until a mixture is formed. Apply the mixture on your face and using your fingers spread it and gently rub it around for two to three minutes. It will effectively loosen up scarred and discolored skin for easier removal. One extra advantage of adding baking soda to the scrub is because it helps kill bacteria that cause acne as it is an anti-bacterial substance. This helps to lift small acne scars as well as preventing the formation of new acne on the face.

Use a mask made from egg whites on the skin to tighten and lighten it. Large quantities of amino acids and proteins are present in egg whites and these tighten the pores closing them off to stop new acne from developing as well as lightening the scarred areas of the skin. Take a small bowl; beat three egg whites till they are light and fluffy. Apply them onto your skin using your fingers and allow them to dry. After they have dried off use very warm water to rinse them off.

Apply a toner made from lemon juice to tighten the pores and dissolve the dead skin. Lemon juice has a lot of acid which is effective for lightening the skin while decomposing discolored skin. Lemon juice that is concentrated can be bought from any grocery store & applied without diluting to the skin. It can also be sprayed on the skin by using a spray bottle; spraying lemon juice should be done after the skin has been cleaned. Another way of applying it is by using a clean wash cloth that has been soaked in the juice to wipe your face. Permit the juice to become dry. Repeat the process 3 times every day.
